WHY UPGRADE?

The original clear housings function as intended when installed and maintained properly.

Over time, we’ve seen that some users unintentionally overtighten the housings during installation and/or filter changes. This can compromise the seal between the lid and housing, increasing the risk of leakage.

The updated design eliminates the possibility of overtightening, providing a more durable and user-friendly experience.

We recommend ALL clear housing systems be upgraded, especially if...

  • Your system has ever been overtightened (twisted close with excess force).
  • System and/or Replacement Filter installation instructions were not followed.
  • You're uncertain if your system was installed and/or maintained properly.
  • You don't want to worry about overtightening or leak risks in the future.

Don't want to upgrade?

If you'd prefer to keep using your original, clear-housing system, it's safe to use when properly installed and maintained.

We recommend reviewing your filter replacement instructions and using care when tightening the housings; remember that hand tightening creates the most effective seal.

For customers who prefer added protection, we also offer an Auto Shut-Off Valve designed to prevent water damage in the event of a leak.
